OCC Social Studies I
Instructor: Michael Townsley   


Occupational Social Studies II is a course designed to teach students skills related to self-determination and advocacy.  Covered in the class will be the basic tools to use in gaining and maintaining meaningful employment.  We'll work on communication, listening, advocating, assertiveness, and how/where to find services.

Extra Credit

Students may earn 10 points of extra credit to be added to his/her lowest grade for volunteer work (must be able to document 5 hours and have a signature of someone worked for), job searches (must document at least 3 sites visited and show signatures) or independent work arranged with Mr. Townsley.
